Yes, Your Payroll is a free software that allows you to manage your employees' normal pay, holiday pay, additional earnings & deductions, taxes, leaves, payslips etc.
We will not charge you anything on this.
The only charge you should be aware is Payment Express Gateway Service.
This is the service fee charged by Payment Express. Again, Your Payroll does not charge you anything.
Every time when you use Payment Express for processing payment, they will charge you a $3+GST fee.
We can't pay this for you, because our service is already free. But you may claim this back via our support.
New Zealand Bank will charge you the fee for each transaction. We cannot pay this cost for you, because our service is already free.
Yes, this step is vital for Payday Filing.
Otherwise, you cannot do Payday Filing to IRD.
This is due to the permission you gave to Your Payroll, was not the right one. So IRD is not accepting that.
Before you connect the company to IRD, please double check the myIR login you use:
1. Make sure to use your company's myIR Account Login;
2. Make sure your company has already registered for Employer;
3. Make sure to use company's master myIR account. If you are granting a different myIR account access for your employee, DO NOT use this one, as this account does not have PAYE access. Use company's master myIR account.

As long as you’re our client, tax on any bonuses paid to employees will be automatically calculated for you. If not, you can use the IRD tax tables for one off payments.
All employees are entitled to a set amount of annual leaves. It’s up to you (their employer) to keep track of leave taken through our online software. You can approve or disprove of any leave through Your Payroll - Leave Section Page.

IRD has certain criterions that defines a contractor. If your employees meet that criterion then it’s fine to pay them as contractors rather than employees. Talk to us for confirmation of what constitutes a contractor.
